Sidecar

For today’s adventure, I’m off to a place called Sidecar.

This is definitely a trendy little cafe, and would fit in really well on the streets of Melbourne. The decor is amazing, with massive share tables, and cute little hide away’s. It is a little bit of a shame that it doesn’t get the morning sun, however blankets are provided so it is still definitely cosy.

Sidecar has taken an interesting approach to their menu. You select the warm food that you would like, and you can then select from a wide range of cold food from the table in the middle of the room. There is a great assortment of fruits, pastries, breads, yogurt and cheeses available.

Everything is freshly prepared and it was all incredibly tasty.

I wasn’t expecting this when I first got there, going in with the expectation that it would be like most cafes. However I do love what they’ve done, and it works really well. It adds to the feel of the place and doesn’t cheapen or pull down the quality of the cafe.

Scrambled Eggs, Pancakes and Sausages
Today off the menu I got the breakfast that came with scrambled eggs, pancakes and sausages. This may sound like a lot of food, however they come in little portion sizes, and most people shouldn’t have any problems finishing what they bring out.

Aside from the warm food, I also tried the fruit salad, the yogurt and muesli, a croissant and some cheeses.

The scrambled eggs where tasty, the pancakes were adorable and also scrumptious. The bacon was crispy, the fruit salad was fresh and the yogurt and muesli was very satisfying.

Overall breakfast this morning has been great. With a fantastic spread of food, and a bustling cafe; I will be coming back with friends.
