Running

PIN

I can feel the wind in my hair.
My feet push against the stones as I run.
Free my heart races.
The freedom.

I miss a stone, and begin to tumble.
Frantically I reach for something to stop me falling.
But I find nothing.
Falling, the fear grips me.
Is this it?

I close my eyes, and wait for the end.
Suddenly, I fell a stone beneath me.
Before thinking, I pull myself up.
Finding my footing, I begin to run.
Stepping without though, I find something firm beneath each step.
To scared to open my eyes, I run.

With the wind in my hair, I find the courage to stop.
Opening my eyes I look back at path I had taken.
I can see the clouds dissipating behind me.
The clouds had seen me falling, and came together to give me stones.

Without asking, they had come to my rescue.
Supporting me when I needed them most.
Disappearing before I could thank them.
Touched, I turn back to my path and begin to run.
