I’ve seen more battles than I would like to admit
The pain and sacrafice are a distant memory
No matter how painful or voilet the battle
The flame of hope continues to burn
Sometime but a flicker of light
Sometimes a raging fire
No matter what happens it remains
It keeps me fighting longer than I thought possible
Surviving more than should be possible
Hope is my strength, couching me forward into the darkness as a guide
